You can see it on the packaging of all our coolers: TDP. This “Thermal Design Power” describes the thermal power loss created by the CPU which can be dissipated by the heat spreader of the cooler. So this TDP numbers gives you a very good idea of the performance of the CPU cooler, which is a good thing. But, what not everybody may know: There are several definitions of TDP.
Detailed explanation of the formula:
We define the heat flow φ in Watts by the heat energy dissipated from the cooler, at a temperature difference in Kelvin between ambient temperature and IHS temperature, as TDP. This temperature difference is usually in the range of 20-25 Kelvin. In this case, the cooler can be considered as thermal resistance Rth under given environmental conditions, which we replicate with our test conditions (contact surface between CPU cooler and CPU, ambient temperature, fan speed, etc.) The cooler’s thermal resistance is determined in our tests. Thus, the result is ΔT / Rth = φ
The most important thing is to bring the test conditions as close to reality as possible in order to obtain usable results and not disappoint our customers. For example, the requirement for the cooler will be stricter for higher TDPs, as CPUs with higher heat density also place higher demands on the cooler.

VOLTAGESHIFT TDP
To use VoltageShift you need to allow the use of custom kext (drivers) and the driver needs root permission – which is super admin privileges on Mac, so make sure you’re comfortable with this, before continuing.
So first, restart your Mac into recovery by holding down the Command+R keys on boot.
Go to Utilities – Terminal and type in.
csrutil enable –without kext
Now you either build the project yourself, or download the pre-built library.
The kext file needs root permission – which is super admin privileges.
sudo chown -R root:wheel VoltageShift.kext
To read the current setting
./voltageshift read 0x610
This will give you a value like this
Default 0x4283e800dd8320
Which decoded means the following
0x428 [3e8] 00 dd 8 [320]0x428 [PL2] 00 dd 8 [PL1]PL2 is the short term Turbo Limit
PL1 is the long term CPU Power Limit
The values are in HEX so 3e8 = 1000 in decimal
1000/8 = 125
Which means the PL2 is 125W
Armed with this knowledge I personally use a PL2 limit of 60W and a PL1 limit of around 30W.

Most people have likely seen \”TDP\” on a cooler box at some point, and it unfortunately has no useful correlation to \”TDP\” on a CPU box — Intel or AMD — and mostly correlates to formulas used to work backwards into a number that’s nice for marketing. There are some useful applications for TDP numbers, but for consumers, it neither measures power nor heat (particularly accurately), so different metrics are needed to determine the best CPU cooler for a product. The most common mistake is for people to use TDP to compare processor power consumption between parts, especially cross-brand (e.g. AMD vs. Intel TDP), and this is a fair mistake to make when considering the unit of \”Watts\” in the TDP figures. Unfortunately, electrical power doesn’t ever once show up in the AMD TDP formula, so this isn’t really a useful metric for comparing power consumption.
In this video, we’re defining TDP, particularly as used for AMD Ryzen parts (e.g. AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs on Zen 2, but it’s the same for the others). We won’t be talking about Intel today. The focus is on TDP, what it is, where it’s useful (or not), and what cooler manufacturers think of the Thermal Design Power metric that they’re provided.

HOW TO RUN RYZENADJ BATCH FILE WITH WINDOWS START:
Create a shortcut to the batch file.
Once the shortcut has been created, right-click the file and select Cut.
Press the Start button and type Run and press enter.
In the Run window, type shell:startup to open the Startup folder.
Once the Startup folder has been opened, click the Home tab at the top of the folder and select Paste to paste the shortcut into the folder.

Make sure you run the InstWinRing0 first
If so open Ryzentest
Open task manager go to Processes tab
Look for the RyzenTest and double click
You should see \”Heles Ryzen-Test\”
Right-click on that the choose \”Maximize\”
Hope it works for you, that’s how I fixed my issue

And set clock speed to 3150MHz (Just change the First slider of RyzenTest till u get this speed)
